Chrome profiles

Work and personal accounts usually live in different Chrome profiles. BrowserZap can be connected in all of them at once; each agent session acts in exactly one.

Set up

  1. Load the extension in each profile you want to use (same folder).
  2. Name each one in the side panel under Settings → Profile name ("Work", "Personal") so you and your agent can tell them apart.

Each profile pairs by itself through the same helper; there is nothing else to configure.

How an agent chooses

  • With one profile connected, sessions use it.
  • With more than one, the agent calls browser_list_profiles and browser_select_profile. Until it does, browser tools answer PROFILE_REQUIRED rather than guess which account you meant.
  • A session never moves to another profile by itself.
  • To pin an agent to one profile, set BROWSERZAP_PROFILE in its MCP configuration to the name you gave that profile, such as Work.
